Howdy - I am thinking about getting an outdoor antenna to install on my roof to get access to the city Wifi. I shouldn't have a problem receiving it, as I am line-of-sight to city hall. My intent is to use this connection as a replacement for my TimeWarner cable connection, as the rates just went up again. Is the network reliable enough to use full time? Are there significant or regular periods of downtime?

Is anyone else using the access for this purpose?

Hi,
I'm not sure about the reliability but for recreational purposes the network should be great.
I'm not very close and with my Voip I need an extremely good connection.
